Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how CODEBLK (“CODEBLK”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit codeblk.app, buy tickets, create an account, or subscribe to our updates. CODEBLK is an underground electronic music events organization. We collect as little as possible and never sell your information.

Who this applies to

CODEBLK events and accounts are for people 18 and older. The site is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Information we collect

  • Email address — when you buy a ticket, create an account, or subscribe to updates.
  • Account details — a pseudonymous handle you choose. We do not require your real name.
  • Order and ticket data — what you purchased, your unique pass codes, and check-in status.
  • Payment information — processed entirely by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, and basic server logs, used for security and to keep the site running.
  • Cookies — only what is needed to keep you logged in, hold your cart, and secure forms. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How we use it

  • To sell you tickets and deliver your passes.
  • To sign you in, using passwordless magic-link login.
  • To send transactional email you asked for: pass links, receipts, and account notices.
  • To send announcements about sessions, drops, and giveaways, only if you opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the site.
  • To meet legal and tax obligations.

Email and your choices

We separate two kinds of email. Transactional messages, such as pass links and receipts, are part of a purchase and are not marketing. Announcements are opt-in: we use confirmed (double) opt-in, so you only receive them after clicking a confirmation link, and every announcement includes a one-click unsubscribe. If your address bounces or you mark our mail as spam, we automatically stop sending to you.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share only what is necessary with the service providers that run the site:

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Amazon SES — sending our email.
  • Cloudflare — DNS, security, content delivery, and media storage.
  • Vultr — server hosting.
  • Google Workspace — our team’s email.

We may also disclose information if required by law.

How long we keep it

Your account and its contents, including passes, orders, and unlocked media, stay in your account until you ask us to delete it. We do not purge member accounts on a schedule. We retain order and payment records as long as needed for tax, accounting, and legal reasons. For guest (accountless) ticket purchases, we keep the order record but remove the buyer’s email address about 120 days after purchase, once refund and dispute windows have closed.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop sending you announcements. Depending on where you live, including residents of Washington State, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. To make a request, email us at the address below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS, payment data is handled by Stripe, and access to our systems is limited. No method is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new date.
